Find your nearest jobcentre
Enter your postcode (or just the first half, like LS1 or CF10) to see the closest Jobcentre Plus offices and the straight-line distance.
Your postcode is sent to postcodes.io (open data) only to find its location; we do not store it. Always go to the jobcentre named in your appointment letter or journal: it may not be the closest one.

About this guide
Jobcentre Offices is an independent directory. Every address comes from the official DWP jobcentre finder, which only searches by postcode; we checked it postcode by postcode to build a single list you can browse. The guides summarise GOV.UK guidance on appointments, identity documents and sanctions in plain English, with links to the original. We are not part of DWP and cannot see or change your claim. How we verify.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find my nearest jobcentre?
Enter your postcode in the search above, or browse by region. Remember that the jobcentre you must attend is the one named in your appointment letter, text or Universal Credit journal, which may not be the closest.
What is the Jobcentre Plus phone number?
For Universal Credit, call 0800 328 5644 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm); the Welsh language line is 0800 328 1744. For an existing New Style JSA or ESA claim, call 0800 169 0310. All are free.
What do I need to bring to a jobcentre appointment?
If you have to prove your identity in person, bring 1 photo ID document and 2 supplementary documents, all originals. A second photo ID can replace one supplementary document.
What are jobcentre opening hours?
DWP told Parliament that jobcentres open Monday to Friday (Saturdays only where this has been agreed), not on Sundays except in exceptional circumstances. It does not publish times for each office; visits are by appointment, and the date and time are in your appointment details.
What happens if I miss a jobcentre appointment?
Contact DWP straight away through your journal and explain why. If you had a good reason, your payment is not reduced; otherwise you may get a sanction.
